'KÁRMÁN LINE'
Light and sound Installation for 'Made in Space' 2017 Space 10
In collaboration with Martin Kozak
Based on the transition between earth and space, the artists have created an echo chamber that exalts and emphasises the relation between different dimensions. Throughout history, humans have used sounds and frequencies to approach knowledge about other worlds. Evoking sounds and resonances is important for the human experience in an unpredictable world.
The Karman Line is the nominal boundary between the Earth’s atmosphere and space. Atmospheric gases scatter blue wavelengths of visible light more than other wavelengths, giving the Earth’s visible edge a blue halo. What are our options when we pass this threshold – and what will this lead us to?
